Interestingly, the page had been up for only about an hour when Norton had their strange spasm above. I received no warning from Norton and I can find no way of contacting them to ask why.

Just try and get telephone assistance from them without being abused. And try clearing their software out of your computer. More persistant than herpes. I think Nortons is actually a sophisticated piece of malware.
Some overseas anti-jihad sites has this same problem.
It may be that Leftists are engaging in cyber-swatting.
